At ENLG SWISS, we pay special attention to the ecological aspects of our bunkering activity.

The reduction of shipping emissions and the provision of a cleaner air in accordance with the short and long-term International Maritime Organization’s roadmap is a priority of our business strategy. We are following the technological developments in the shipping industry closely, and we have a close dialogue with industry stakeholders to ensure that we will be able to provide our Customers the best possible solutions for the future.

We are continuously monitoring and controlling our operations by adhering strict practices, observing all standard rules and regulations prescribed for petroleum transshipping operations, and for the prevention of oil product leakage. We work hard to minimize the risk of environmental incidents at all times, and we are always ready to respond rapidly and effectively should a problem arise. Additionally, our global network of partners ensure that we’re working toward the prevention of pollution by applying well established methods and techniques.

We support and comply with relevant regulations to ensure that the health and security of our personnel and associates are safeguarded to the maximum possible extent. We are members of HELMEPA, the pioneering voluntary commitment of Greek seafarers and ship owners to safeguard the seas from ship-generated pollution. Our personnel is participating in various training programs and seminars organized by HELMEPA so as to acquire an environmental consciousness and a spirit of safety towards achieving quality shipping.

Through our wholly owned subsidiary company RESTITUO ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICES, we provide Integrated Waste Management Services & Technologies; delivering solutions for sustainable waste collection, sorting, disposal and recycling. Based on the key elements of a circular economy, for turning waste into value, our partners enhance material recovery through reuse and recycling techniques, whereby materials and production residuals can be used as a resource. RES is certified with: 

  • Quality Management System, according to the international standard EN ISO 9001:2015
  • Environmental Management System, according to the international standard EN ISO 14001:2015 
  • Occupational Health and Safety, according to the international EN ISO 45001:2018
  • International sustainability and Carbon Certification , ISCC EU

Our facilities in Syros are in compliance with the ISPS code and are covering all appropriate measures and procedures (from level 1 up to level 3) in accordance with the ISPS code referential. Furthermore, and in accordance with SOLAS Chapt. XI-2 ISPS code, which came into enforcement in July 2004, the access of people visiting and crafts approaching vessels is controlled and restricted.
This facility is also provided with a revised Oil Spill Response Facility Contingency Plan. They are equipped with the required antipollution equipment and modern technology for the prevention of oil spills and detection of leakage of oil products. The Antipollution team is theoretically and practically trained in order to obtain the necessary response level.
